1. Purpose

The purpose of this directive is to establish a uniform and professional dress code for all State and Union Territory Units affiliated with the School Cricket Association of India (SCAI). This initiative aims to promote identity, discipline, and a unified representation at all official events and competitions.


2. Applicability

This dress code is mandatory for all State Units, Union Territory Units, Players, Coaches, Support Staff, and Officials participating in SCAI-approved tournaments and events.


3. Official Dress Code Structure

3.1 Team Jersey (Upper Wear)

  • Each State/UT Unit must have a distinctive colored jersey.
  • The name of the State/Union Territory must be clearly printed on the front chest area.
  • The SCAI official logo must be displayed on the left chest.
  • Player name and number must be printed on the back side.

3.2 Lower Wear

  • Matching trousers (same or complementary color to the jersey).
  • Must be clean, well-fitted, and suitable for professional cricket standards.

3.3 Cap/Headgear

  • Matching cap or hat in team colors.
  • Optional but recommended for official matches.

3.4 Footwear

  • Standard cricket shoes (white or team-coordinated colors).
  • Must comply with safety and performance standards.

4. Color Guidelines

  • Each State/UT must register and maintain a unique primary color combination to avoid duplication.
  • Bright, visible, and professional color schemes are encouraged.
  • Avoid similarity with other registered teams.

5. Branding & Identity

  • The State/UT name is mandatory on the jersey.
  • No unauthorized logos or advertisements are allowed without prior approval from SCAI.
  • Sponsor logos (if any) must follow SCAI branding policies.

6. Discipline & Compliance

  • All teams must strictly follow the dress code during matches, opening/closing ceremonies, and official presentations.
  • Non-compliance may result in warning, penalty, or disqualification (in serious cases).

7. Approval Process

Each State/UT Unit must submit their dress design (jersey + color details) to SCAI for approval before use in any official event.
